About the Journal

The Journal of Public Health Science and Practice (JPHSP) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing original research articles, literature reviews, policy analyses, and innovative practices in the field of public health. This journal aims to serve as an academic and professional platform for disseminating evidence-based knowledge and advancing both the science and practice of public health at local, national, and global levels. JPHSP accepts manuscripts across the entire spectrum of public health disciplines, provided they contribute significantly to improving population health and well-being.

JPHSP welcomes manuscripts covering, but not limited to, the following fields:

  • Epidemiology & Biostatistics: disease surveillance, outbreak analysis, health data modeling.
  • Health Promotion & Behavior: health education, behavior change, digital health communication.
  • Public Health Nutrition: stunting, obesity, anemia, community nutrition interventions.
  • Health Policy & Management: health systems, financing, hospital and primary care management.
  • Environmental & Occupational Health: sanitation, pollution, waste management, workplace health, climate impact.
  • Maternal, Child & Adolescent Health: reproductive health, neonatal care, youth health issues.
  • Communicable & Non-Communicable Diseases: prevention, control strategies, community-based approaches.
  • Global Health & Social Determinants: health equity, SDGs, social, cultural, and economic factors affecting health.

The Journal of Public Health Science and Practice (JPHSP) is published twice a year (biannually), with two regular issues released in December and July. Manuscripts are accepted throughout the year, and articles that successfully pass the peer-review and editorial process will be scheduled for publication in the nearest upcoming issue.

The Journal of Public Health Science and Practice (JPHSP) applies a full Open Access Policy, allowing all published articles to be freely accessed, read, downloaded, and shared by the public without any subscription or payment barriers. To support equitable dissemination of scientific knowledge, JPHSP does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) or submission fees. All stages of publication—including manuscript submission, peer review, editorial processing, and online publication—are provided completely free of charge to authors. By adopting this open and non-commercial publication model, the journal aims to promote global knowledge exchange and ensure that high-quality public health research is accessible to everyone.
