Scientific Description of Jurnal Pelita Pengabdian (JPP)

The Jurnal Pelita Pengabdian (JPP) is a scholarly journal dedicated to the publication of the results of Community Service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PkM) activities conducted by academics and practitioners. JPP serves as a crucial platform for disseminating knowledge, best practices, and innovations generated from the active interaction between higher education institutions and the community. The primary focus of JPP is to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical implementation to solve real-world problems within society.

Multidisciplinary Focus and Scope

JPP’s main focus is on publishing articles that explicitly reflect the process, outputs, and impacts of Community Service (PkM) activities.

The Scope of Jurnal Pelita Pengabdian is inherently multidisciplinary and includes, but is not limited to, the following spectrum of scientific fields:

  • Social Sciences and Humanities: PkM focusing on community empowerment, public policy, human resource development, non-formal education, revitalization of local culture, and literacy improvement.
  • Economics and Business: PkM covering assistance for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), development of social business models, financial inclusion education, community supply chain management, and innovation of local wisdom-based products.
  • Engineering and Applied Sciences: PkM applying appropriate technology (TTG/Appropriate Technology), implementation of information and communication systems, development of sustainable village infrastructure, and small-scale renewable energy solutions.
  • Health and Medicine: PkM related to public health promotion, environmental sanitation and hygiene, disease prevention, community nutrition enhancement, and reproductive health education.
  • Agriculture, Fisheries, and Environment: PkM concerning sustainable agriculture practices, conservation of natural resources, management of organic and non-organic waste, and empowerment of farmer and fisherman groups.
